Level 2 NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (Light Vehicle) There are more than 32 million vehicles on the UK’s roads, and we need plenty of technicians to keep them running. Motor vehicle technicians service, repair and replace parts of all types of vehicles, from mopeds to lorries.As an apprentice, you could work for a dealership and focus on a particular manufacturer, or work for an independent garage that deals with all different makes. In both, you’ll choose your area of specialisation, whether that’s motorcycles or vehicle electrical systems. You’ll be carrying out routine maintenance and basic repairs, as well as identifying and reporting faults.
Level 3 NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (Light Vehicle) In the Advanced Apprenticeship, you'll learn about complex faults and how to diagnose and repair them. Successful candidates will demonstrate a broad working knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace and other skills associated with working in a garage.
