Description of the Course
The course is tailored to students who would benefit from a general introduction to the College and its resources and provides the skills to successfully engage with study at the Higher Education levels.
Course content
The course contains an introduction to:
Journal Writing
General use of ICT to support academic writing
Academic Literacy
Learning resources
Essay Writing
Assessment
Completion of assignments demonstrating the study skills needed to complete a foundation degree
Who is the course for?
Those students accepted onto a Foundation Degree who, following interview, are considered to benefit from attending this course.

Level 3 qualification and Foundation Degree conditional offer
