Description of the Course
This course allows you to become an NVQ assessor in your existing workplace or can help you gain employment as an assessor. Many people progress on to the V1 Verifier course after this to further their career prospects
Course content
A1.1: Develop plans for assessing competence with candidates
A1.2: Judge evidence against criteria to make assessment decisions
A1.3: Provide feedback and support to candidates on assessment decisions
A1.4: Contribute to the internal quality assurance process

You will be assessed throughout your award and evidence may be generated from the following sources:
Observationof you by a qualified assessor
Witness testimony
Work products
Written Questions
Professional Discussion
Who is the course for?
This course is for people who would like to be NVQ assessors. It is a professional qualification. It replaces the old D32 and D33 qualification. The assessor's award is a much sought after award. You will need to have candidates (2 or more) who you can assess in your chosen vocational area. The college may be able to assist you with this.
Entry requirements
Trainees assessors must have suitable experience and qualifications for theiir chosen assessment subject. This must be confirmed prior to the commencement of the course. A minimum of two students to assess in your area of expertise and an occupationally competent person to countersign work carried out by you for your award.
