Description of the Course
This course is designed for candidates working in the Digital Installation field and wish to obtain a recognised qualification with the view to obtain Registered Digital Installers membership.
Course content
Mandatory
- Complying with Statutory Regulations and Organisational Safety Requirements
- Contributing to Positive Working Relationships
Plus all the following assessment routes:
- Installing signal reception equipment in customers' premises
- Familiarising customers with the use of products
- Working safely at heights with antennas
One of the following assessment routes:
- Diagnosing faults in signal reception systems
- Replacing modules in signal reception systems
Plus one other unit from the list below:
- Establishing customer requirements
- Carrying out preventative maintenance procedures
- Transporting and protecting products and equipment
- Collecting and processing payments
- Promoting your organisation's products and services
Assessment
Portfolio of work based evidence, observation in the work place, written and oral questioning.
Who is the course for?
Must be currently working as an aerial/satellite installer (employed or self employed)

What can I do after this course?
Candidates who have successfully completed the NVQ Level 2 will have the opportunity to progress on to the NVQ Level 3 qualification.
