Being Independent (SLD) This course is designed to develop skills to promote independence, good communications and learner self-confidence. Learners will have the opportunity to generalise their skills in our college environment. They will be supported to acquire skills for functioning in the workplace, such as health & safety issues and following instructions.

Living Independently (SLD) This course is designed to develop skills to promote independence, good communications and learner self-confidence. Learners will have the opportunity to generalise their skills in our college environment. They will be supported to acquire skills for functioning in the workplace, such as health & safety issues and following instructions.

Study And Life Preparation (MLD) The course has been designed to equip students with skills that will enable them to live successfully in supported environment. It will provide opportunities for students to develop their independence through practical activities that are directly related to life skills. The timetable will be structured to enable small groups of students to undertake activities on a day/session long basis. This ensures learners are given the time and support they require to develop as an individual as well as part of a team. The course aims provide opportunities for students to develop independence skills. To enable students to develop practical skills for living independently. To provide students with the opportunities to be proactive partners in their own learning and development in order to progress onto employment or the Vocational Preparation Course.

Transition to Work (MLD) The course will provide students with practical support to carry out successful experience of work. The course aims to prepare students for permanent work or pre-employment training schemes. To empower students to be proactive partners in their own learning and development to be ready for employment especially in the retail industry.

Vocational Preparation (MLD) The course aims to provide practical vocational tasters that will help inform students' choices for the future. To equip students with the knowledge and skills required to undertake employment. To empower students to be proactive partners in their own learning and development.

Work and the Community (SLD) This course offers opportunities for learners to develop further as confident communicators within their own community and in the ‘workplace’. Tasks embedded throughout which will enable learners to develop their personal, inter-personal and work-based skills. Learners will now be supported in acquiring numeracy and IT qualifications and develop skills required to function effectively in their increased working roles. Learners will have further opportunities to take on greater responsibilities for themselves and others.

Work Competence for Adults (SLD) This course offers the learner to focus on working life, establishing clear expectations of the world of work and how function successfully  and actively in it.
