Over £150,000 has been invested in new bespoke facilities for students on BTEC Diplomas and Apprenticeships in Carpentry and Plumbing. Opened in December 2010 these workshops are designed to replicate industry working environments with pre determined work areas including toilets, basins and baths with full drainage and waste systems.

3. Mavis Peart Vocational Progression Unit

Purpose built learning facility for young people and adults with severe/profound and complex learning difficulties and/or disabilities. New developments include installation of tube signage to help students navigate around the building, a sensory garden and holding a Paralympics Festival taking place in June 2011.

4. Power Assessment and Training Centre

5. Olympic Opportunities at Carshalton College

Carshalton College is celebrating becoming a member of the Get Set Network. The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) awarded Carshalton College a plaque and certificate to acknowledge their involvement in the London 2012 education programme. The College joins schools and colleges across the UK as members of the special London 2012 community and will receive access to exclusive competitions and 2012 Games related opportunities over the coming years.
