Carshalton College and Kingston College join forces
to launch state-of-the-art Power Centre
Carshalton College and Kingston College have recognised the growing demand for Gas and Electrical training and have formed a partnership to meet it.
This joint venture, The Power Assessment & Training Centre, based at Carshalton College, is a dedicated state-of-the-art assessment and training facility that is tailored to adult learners and has the capacity to offer a wide range and volume of courses at times to suit industry professionals.
To celebrate this exciting new initiative, the Centre held an open day exhibition, which will took place on Wednesday 18th February. The event, featured a host of specialist gas and electrical suppliers including Worcester Bosch, Viessmann, NICEIC, ECA and Monument Tools.
The courses run are designed to bridge the skills gap supported by specialist industry trainers and assessors with over 40 years’ experience. There is an extensive range of courses available which can be tailored to requirements, including:
Ø ACS Gas Qualifications
Ø Control of Legionella
Ø Combination Boiler Fault Finding
Ø Solar Heating
Ø Electrics for Plumbers and Gas Engineers Defined Scope Part P
Ø The Guild of Gas Fitters Certification Course
Ø Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems Training and Assessment
Ø Domestic Central Heating Controls
Ø 17th Edition Full Course & 17th Edition Update
Ø PAT Testing
Ø Periodic Inspection & Testing
The Power Assessment & Training Centre is also delivering, via a franchising agreement with Thames Water, a Water Regulations course which is assessed by Thames Water, with successful candidates gaining a Thames Water certificate of training and assessment in Water Regulations, which is a prerequisite qualification for plumbers wishing to become nationally approved.
