Description of the course

The BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma is designed to encourage you to develop the personal skills and the qualities that you need for work in the Health Care and Social Work sectors. This is a practical 'hands on' programme with each unit taught in the context of real jobs and careers in a chosen vocational sector. This gives you the chance to explore the opportunities offered in the sector and to acquire appropriate vocational skills.

You will also have the opportunity to gain the following additional qualifications:

  • L2 Award in Food Safety & Nutrition in H&SC or Early Years and Childcare Settings
  • L2 Award in Paediatric First Aid
