Description of the course
The Association of Accounting Technicians is the professional organisation for accounting technicians. It provides a recognised qualification and is a membership body for accounting support staff working in accounting practice, industry and commerce and the public sector. If you are working in an accounting environment then an apprenticeship may be available.

The programme consists of five learning areas:
- Basic Accounting 1 Computer assessment
- Basic Accounting 2 Computer assessment
- Working effectively in Accounting & Finance Case Study
- Basic Costing Computer assessment
- Computerised Accounting Case Study
There are no formal entry requirements but applicants will have to demonstrate that they have the numerical and communication skills necessary for successful completion of the course.
