This course is designed for mature students who are seeking to increase their Beauty Therapy skills to an advanced level. Emphasis is on both practical and theoretical instruction and combined with home study. Students aged between 16-18 years should refer to VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy (16-18 years).

Students will develop their practical skills in the industry standard commercial salon and will develop critical skills as communication, customer service and teamwork to support their progression to the next level or into employment.

  • Entry Requirements


    Applicants must be 19+

    We will invite you to a Meet the Tutor event where you will receive information, advice, and guidance about the course you have applied for. This will be an opportunity for you to gain valuable information about the course and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

    3 x GCSE's at any grade including Maths and English and/or relevant vocational equivalent and have successfully completed a Level 2 qualification, at merit level, in Beauty Therapy.

    Students will study a range of theory and practical units that may include: Monitor and maintain Health and Safety practice in the salon Client care and communication working in beauty-related industries, Body massage, Face electrotherapy, Body electrotherapy, Apply stone therapy, Apply micro dermabrasion, Contribute to the effective running of business, Working in beauty related industries,

  • Progression Next Steps


    Employment in industry as a Beauty Therapist in salons, health clubs and spas. Or to progress onto the Level 4 Certificate in Laser and IPL Treatments or HNC in Salon Management.
