New Sports and Beauty Therapy Courses

From September 2012, learners can enrol on new Part-Time Sports and Beauty Therapy courses at Carshalton College.

The new Beauty Therapy courses include:

Level 3 Award in Individual Permanent Lashes
This evening course has been specifically designed to develop  practical skills in how to apply individual permanent lashes.

Level 3 Award in Indian Head Massage
This evening course teaches how to perform Indian Head Massage competently and safely and leads to a nationally recognised qualification awarded by City & Guilds.

Level 2 Award in Waxing Techniques
This evening waxing course covers all areas of face and body waxing (including leg waxing, bikini waxing, underarms, facial hair, and eyebrow wax).

Level 2 Award in Follow Health & Safety Practice in the Salon
On this Saturday course you will learn about health and safety legislation, dealing with emergencies, personal presentation, hygiene, and identifying hazards.

Carshalton College is also offering a new Part-Time Sports course:

CYC Certificate in Fitness Instruction Level 2 - Gym Based ExerciseThis evening course covers exercise and fitness knowledge, and how to structure a programme, as well as how to instruct clients safely and effectively.  It is an ideal starting point for those wishing to work as a fitness instructor in the Health and Leisure Industry.
