3 days a week - 16 hours total

1 year ( 9 weeks in each of the practical skills areas)
Description of the Course
This course provides you with a basic introduction into Brickwork, Carpentry, Plumbing and Electrical trade skills. Within the course you will also further your knowledge in Literacy, Numeracy IT and Personal Skills Development.
Course content
Each of the programme topic areas includes:
- Health and Safety
- Using a variety of hand tools
- Equipment and Materials
Assessment
Who is the course for?
This course is for anyone interested in a career in construction.
Entry requirements
2 GCSEs at Grade E or above. A college assessment will be required.
What can I do after this course?
Successful completion will allow you to progress onto the next level.
Other information
Students must provide their own Personal Protection Equipment (overalls and safety boots). Practical classes cannot be completed without this important equipment.
Car park fee £1 per visit, subject to spaces being available.
