If you want a career in the Beauty Therapy industry this course is a great first step. You'll get a basic understanding of core treatments and work closely alongside senior and experienced students to increase your knowledge and expectations. You'll gain the practical experience to set up and provide basic Manicures, Pedicures, Make-Up and Facials, as well as carry out general reception duties so you can understand how this important customer service point works.

We have plenty of professional suppliers delivering in-house, bespoke training on latest products and equipment, like Nails Inc and Grove Spa Collection. This is boosted by employers and salon owners giving demonstrations and talks on making it in the sector.

We run several internal competitions including the London Masters where we invite other London colleges in and you compete against your peers and the judges are normally employers and industry specialists. There are also a number of local and national competitions that you'll get involved with as it's a great way to learn and to be exposed to new experiences.

With our masterclasses throughout the year, you'll have the chance to build your skills and experience on top of your normal classes. This is your chance to pick up all the latest salon trends and make sure you're work-ready when you graduate. If you become one of our top-performing students, there's the added incentive of learning through our in-house graduate programme to boost your practical skills in a range of spa therapies.

You'll also have the chance to visit various beauty exhibitions and gain extra certificates to make your studies more interesting and get you ready for work. As well as daytime lessons you'll need to come into College one evening a week or on a Saturday.

  • Entry Requirements


    We will invite you to a Meet the Tutor event where you will receive information, advice, and guidance about the course you have applied for. This will be an opportunity for you to gain valuable information about the course and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

    You will provide a copy of your last school report and / or a reference from an employer or relevant professional other. This is to ensure we can support you to be able to achieve well on the course.

    3 x GCSE's at any grade including Maths and English .

  • Course Structure


    Your course will be delivered ion site and through work related experiences.

    You will be asked to sign a code of conduct on enrolment which depicts a number of salon rules and regulations which need to be followed. These rules are to keep everyone in the salon safe and a clean and hygienic work environment and are non-negotiable.

    The wearing of nail extensions, varnish and lash extensions is prohibited and nails must be clean and no longer than the end of your finger. Hair is to be warn up and out of the way, in Beauty Therapy this will be in a bun .

    Your attendance, punctuality and commitment to the course is constantly monitored so choose your course of study wisely and you will find the challenges enjoyable and welcome.
