If you work with autistic people, or if someone you know is autistic, this course is a great way to increase your knowledge about the condition. On this Autism course you will learn about how it can affect the ways people communicate, interact and process information. You'll learn how to support autistic people to live healthy, fulfilled lives.

Entry Requirements
To attend this course you must be 19 years old or over, be legally allowed to live and work in the UK and have lived in the UK or EU for the last 3 years Pass a short assessment for English and maths -
Course Content
Introduction to Autism, using a Person-Centred Approach to Support Individuals with Autism, Communication and Social Interaction in Individuals with Autism, Sensory Processing, Perception and Cognition in Individuals with Autism, Supporting Positive Behaviour in Individuals with Autism and Supporting Individuals with Autism to Live Healthy and Fulfilled Lives. -

Course Structure
The course will be distance learning over 8 weeks with some face to face meetings with an assessor - ensuring all government guidelines for coronavirus are being carried out, handwashing , wearing a face covering and social distancing. -
Assessment Details
You will need to complete the learning resources provided ( workbooks) which will be marked and assessed. Once completed you will be awarded a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification.
