The Construction Skills Certification Scheme offers proof that construction staff working on site have the correct training and are properly qualified to do their job. A valid CSCS card is often a requirement for major contractors and house builders and must be presented before employment is confirmed.

This course is taken in conjunction with Certificate in Understanding Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Advocacy in the Workplace, providing an essential understanding to an increasing challenge in the workplace. This element of the course will be completed online.

  • Course Content


    This package provides everything required to apply for a CSCS Labourer's card and includes the cost of the HSE Exam and the card application.

    The course will allow you to gain the following qualifications:

    • L1 - Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment
    • Certificate in Understanding Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Advocacy in the Workplace
    • CSCS Labourers Card

    This includes lecturer led preparation for the following exams required to obtain the CSCS Card:

    CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test

    This course offers an end to end service where students will learn Health and Safety taught by highly experienced, industry lecturers in relation to the construction industry site environment.

    In addition students will earn a certificate to demonstrate their understanding of Mental Health First Aid, a useful additional employability skill.

    Assuming that the HSE Exam is passed, card applications will be processed on the last day of the course.

    Level 1 Diploma in Multi Skills Level 1 Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery Level 1 Diploma in Painting and Decorating
